A collaboration with composer James Carlson, who initiated a multimedia event celebrating the history of the labyrinth and exploring new applications of its meanings.
Marin Marais’ 1717 tonally adventurous composition of the same name is presented with Carlson’s composition, both of which depict the feelings of being lost in the Versailles Labyrinth.
The main screening took place with dancers upon a portable labyrinth floor and my film displayed above them.
The sound on this video… I will find it and add it! Apologies.
